Hood River Hops Fest

Hops Fest on Saturday, October 1st, is a celebration of the best of the Gorge. Located in downtown Hood River, it’s the perfect event to go transit vs drive. 

GETTING THERE & BACK FROM PORTLAND (CAR FREE)

TO HOPS FEST FROM PORTLAND:

  • Catch the 9:50am Columbia Gorge Express shuttle from Gateway to arrive at the festival by 11:15am (note: transfer to the Hood River Connect when you arrive at the Hood River CAT Terminal at 11am).  
    • There is also a 12:50pm option that arrives at 2:15pm 
    • There is also a 2:20pm option that arrives at 3:50pm

BACK TO PORTLAND:

  • Catch the 2:15pm Hood River Connect at 4th & Columbia (just one block East of the festival) to the CAT Terminal to immediately catch the 2:30pm Columbia Gorge Express arriving back in Portland at 3:40pm.
    • There’s also a 3:45pm option arriving back in Portland at  5:10pm
    • There’s also a 5:15pm option arriving back in Portland at 6:40pm

For a fun alternative, take the $10 PediCab to the CAT Terminal which only takes 10 minutes

HOOD RIVER LOCALS

Take the bus downtown to avoid the parking hassles 

  • Catch the Hood River route which circles every 45 minutes between downtown and the heights for only $1 per ride.

GETTING THERE & BACK FROM THE DALLES

Note: All of these buses also stop in Mosier.

FROM THE DALLES:

  • Catch the 11am shuttle from the Link Terminal in The Dalles to arrive at the Hood River Port stop (N. 1st & Riverside) at 11:20am.  It is a 10 minute walk from there to the festival.
  • There is also a 7:30am shuttle that arrives at 8am if you want to grab breakfast or stroll through the Farmers Market ahead of time. 

RETURNING TO THE DALLES:

  • Catch the 3:50pm Hood River bus at 4th & Columbia (just one block East of the festival) to the CAT Terminal (224 Wasco Loop) to catch the 4:15pm bus to The Dalles which arrives at  4:45pm.
