Hood River Hops Fest
Hops Fest on Saturday, October 4th, is a celebration of the best of the Gorge. Located on the waterfront in Hood River, it’s the perfect event to go transit vs drive.
GETTING THERE & BACK FROM PORTLAND (CAR FREE)
TO HOPS FEST FROM PORTLAND:
- Catch the 9:50am Columbia Gorge Express shuttle from Gateway to arrive at the festival by 10:30am (note: transfer to the Hood River Connect when you arrive at the Hood River CAT Terminal at 10am). They have added a special stop at the event site (at Ferment Brewing at N 2nd & Portway). This earlier time gives you time to walk along the waterfront and/or grab a coffee at Stoked Roasters before the gates open.
- There is also a 10:20pm option that arrives at 12pm
- There is also a 1:20pm option that arrives at 2:30pm
BACK TO PORTLAND:
- Catch the 2:15pm Hood River route at Ferment Brewing at N 2nd & Portway (just one block West of the festival) to the CAT Terminal to immediately catch the 2:30pm Columbia Gorge Express arriving back in Portland at 3:40pm.
- There’s also a 3:45pm option arriving back in Portland at 5:10pm
- There’s also a 5:15pm option arriving back in Portland at 6:40pm
For a fun alternative, take the $10 PediCab to the CAT Terminal which only takes 10 minutes

HOOD RIVER LOCALS
Take the bus downtown to avoid the parking hassles
- Catch the Hood River route which circles every 45 minutes between the waterfont and the heights for only $1 per ride.
GETTING THERE & BACK FROM THE DALLES
Note: All of these buses also stop in Mosier.

RETURNING TO THE DALLES:
- Catch the 5:08pm Link bus to The Dalles at N. 1st & Riverside (just one block South of the festival) which arrives at 5:50pm.
- There is also a 2:18pm bus that arrives at 3:05pm
